Richard Ferrand appointed to Head of Elsan Oversight Council

Former President of the National Assembly (2018-2022) Richard Ferrand, a close ally of Emmanuel Macron, has been appointed to lead the supervisory board of Elsan on Friday, July 12, according to the French news agency AFP. Ferrand, a co-founder of En Marche! (now La République en marche), aged 62, served as a member of parliament from 2012 to 2022 and a brief Minister of Territorial Cohesion in 2017. He officially stepped back from politics following his defeat in the legislative elections in his stronghold of Brittany in 2022 but continues to regularly meet with the President. Elsan group operates 212 centers and establishments across sixty departments, catering to 4.9 million patients annually.
