Changes in Interest Rates for Savings Accounts
According to the recommendations of the governor of the Banque de France, the Minister of Economy has decided to lower the rate of the Livret d’épargne populaire (LEP) from 5% to 4%, while keeping the rate of the Livret A at 3% on Friday, July 12. Bercy announced that “the minister, in agreement with the governor of the Banque de France, has set the LEP rate at 4% starting from August 1st.” The rates for Livret A and Livret de développement durable et solidaire will remain at 3% until February 1, 2025 as declared by the ministry.
