Attempted Assassination of Donald Trump
Former American President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Saturday, July 13th during a campaign meeting for the upcoming presidential election. The shooter and a bystander were killed, while two spectators were seriously injured, as confirmed by the police. The FBI later verified that the shots indeed constituted an “assassination attempt,” and identified the shooter as “Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20 years old, from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.”
Details of the Incident
The incident took place in Butler, just before the Republican convention scheduled to commence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This meeting was crucial, being Trump’s last before the convention where he is set to be officially declared the Republican Party’s presidential candidate. Trump’s campaign team announced that despite the incident, the former president intends to attend the convention after undergoing a precautionary medical examination at the hospital.
