During his time in prison, where he was serving a sentence for non-terrorism related crimes, the suspect developed a radical ideology. Following his release, he was required to report daily to the local police station as part of an administrative control order. Investigations revealed that he had acquired weapons with the intention of carrying out a violent act in the name of jihadist ideology.

The Attack and Escape

The suspect armed himself and took a taxi, eventually threatening the driver and forcing him to an isolated location where he attempted to harm him. The victim managed to escape, sustaining an injury to his neck. The suspect fled, later boarding a train to the Yvelines.

The individual met a woman, with whom he had been in contact for several years, who shared his extremist views. She provided him with shelter, and both were subsequently arrested.
