Kelly Ortberg began his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments in 1983. He later joined Rockwell Collins, now known as Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX. Ortberg, 64 years old, retired from RTX in 2021 and expressed gratitude for joining Boeing.

Previous CEO’s Departure and Financial Results

Dave Calhoun, the previous CEO, faced challenges during his tenure, including production and quality control issues. Following two deadly crashes in 2018 and 2019, Calhoun announced his retirement in March.
