Plane Crash of VoePass Aircraft near Sao Paulo
The Brazilian airline VoePass announced on Friday, August 9, that an aircraft from its fleet, manufactured by ATR, crashed with sixty-two people on board about 80 kilometers north of Sao Paulo. The aircraft was en route to Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport with 58 passengers and 4 crew members. The cause of the accident was not specified in the company’s statement, as reported by the Associated Press.

Local firefighters confirmed that the aircraft had crashed in the city of Vinhedo, and seven of their teams were on site to respond to the incident.
