Discovery of Body in Bois de Boulogne
The body found buried in the Bois de Boulogne on Saturday has been confirmed to be that of a 19-year-old student who had been missing since the day before, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced on Sunday, September 22.
Identification and Investigations
The victim, born in 2004 and a student at the University Paris-Dauphine, was formally identified late Saturday evening, following a search initiated by the family after her disappearance was reported. The young Philippine woman’s body was discovered during a search in the Bois de Boulogne, located in western Paris.
Homicide Investigation
Upon finding the body, the police noted multiple signs of abuse and injuries. Witnesses reported seeing a man with a pickaxe in the area, prompting the opening of a voluntary homicide investigation by the Paris Police Department’s criminal brigade. The investigation is ongoing, with no further details provided by the prosecutor’s office at this time.
