Neutralizing Hezbollah Leaders
The Israeli army announced that it had “eliminated” Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of the Radwan force, Hezbollah’s elite unit, along with ten other military leaders from the Lebanese movement in a targeted strike on the southern outskirts of Beirut.
Explosions in Lebanon
A second series of explosions of communication devices occurred in Lebanon, resulting in at least twenty casualties and 450 injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The explosions took place in various locations, including the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, the district of Sidon, and the region of Baalbek.
Israeli Attacks and Hezbollah’s Response
Following an attack attributed to Israel that detonated thousands of pagers across the country, talkies-walkies belonging to Hezbollah members were reportedly affected in subsequent incidents. The organization itself did not confirm these events.
